Our Story
TN Smoky Retreat is a family owned, self-managed, small business in East Tennessee. Our family of 5 sold our house and set out on a nine month trip to explore the United States in September of 2017. Our goals were to spend quality time together as a family and to see the beautiful country made by our creator. We loved traveling so much that our nine month trip was extended for five years and brought us to every state and over 20 countries. During those years we kept being drawn back to the Smoky Mountains for the beauty and excitement of the area. With our frequent visits we decided to purchase some cabins in what has become our favorite place in the country and share them with other couples and families so they can fall in love too.

When you book direct with us, you pay less with no third-party booking fees.
Plus early check in and late check out where our calendar permits.
We understand that things happen and you may not get to stay with us due to unforeseen circumstances.
However, our cancellation policy for Standard Rates is as follows:
For any changes or cancellations made over 30 days prior to your reservation with get 97% Refund.
If less than 30 days but more than 14 days in advance, you will be only refunded 50% of the total payment.
Any changes or cancellations made less than14 days prior to arrival will result in no refunds.
You won’t need to go anywhere to pick up or drop off keys. You will receive your personal keyless entry code on day of check in around 3pm for your 4pm check in.
Check-in time is 4 pm. Check-out time is 10 AM.
Late check-outs must be requested before the morning of departure and are subject to availability.
There will be a charge added in order to accommodate changing the cleaners’ schedule.
If your room has not been vacated by 11 am on your departure date, you may be charged a late check-out fee equivalent to a half-day’s room and tax; check-outs past 2 pm may be subject to a full night’s room and tax – unless previously discussed as being ok.
We do allow dogs that over 1 year old and well trained with a one time pet fee. The Pet varies by property. You are still required to clean up any dog waste.
We do NOT allow any other pets such as Cats, Birds, Reptiles, Rodents, or any other pets.
In order to book our properties you need to be 18 or older. Everyone staying in the cabin has to be over 18 or with a responsible guardian.

You will be asked to pay for your stay at the end of the booking process using a Credit Card.
A deposit of 50% of the rental cost is required – and that’s it, you’re booked.
The balance is due no later than 30 days prior to arrival.
Yes, all of our properties have FREE highspeed Wi-Fi.
Yes! We provide links so that you can access our digital guidebook on your mobile or computer.
We provide pack n plays, high chairs, kids silverware & dishes in our larger cabins. In our smaller 1 bedroom cabins we do not.
This depends on the cabin.
Jeep Retreat – The main level is accessible which includes the master bedroom/bathroom, Kitchen, and Living Room.
Little Bear – The main level is accessible which includes the master bedroom/bathroom, Kitchen, and Living Room.
Tuckaleechee Farmhouse – This cabin has 3 levels. The middle (main level) is mostly accessible with exception of one step to get from the foyer to the living room / kitchen / bathroom. The lower level is accessible from the rear entrance and is accessible. The lower level has a master bedroom, kitchen, living room, and laundry. The top level is NOT accessible.
Walker and Rosewood are NOT accessible.
Bear Cub is mostly accessible with just 1 step to get up into the cabin.
